The presentation of Mariam Aslamazyan's autobiographical book ''The Note-Book of My Life"

''On the 3rd of September of 2016 ”The Gallery of Mariam and Eranuhi Aslamazyan Sisters” jointly with “The Museum of Russian Art” will realize the sales presentation of famous artist Mariam Aslamazyan’s autobiographical book ''The Note-Book of My Life'' the profit of which will be directed to the renovation works of Gyumri Gallery of Mariam and Eranuhi Aslamazyan Sisters.

The life of Mariam Aslamazyan was wholly devotion to the art. Today her creations decorate the collections and permanent exhibitions of the National Gallery of Armenia, its branches-about 50 recognized museums such as Moscow, Sankt-Petersburg, China, India and France. But the complete collection of her works is in “The Gallery of Mariam and Eranuhi Aslamazyan Sisters”. The artist lived nearly a century with the brush in her hand, and in the last years of her life, summarizing the done and not done, she has written the book ''The Note-Book of My Life''. She has analyzed her feelings as a woman through the sincere composition typical to her and personal observations, she has told about the difficult, hard years and about the happy cases, she has touched upon the valuable memories about the meetings with her talented intellectual friends: Martiros Saryan, Sedrak Arakelyan, Vazgen A Catholicos, Indira Gandhi and etc. In the book she has reconsidered also the Soviet and post-war years from her point of view trying to express her attitude about the consequences of that years. For the first time the narrative book was published in 2000 in Moscow by the means of the author Mariam Aslamazyan, in the limited quantity. In 2016 the autobiography ''The Note-Book of My Life'' has been republished by the mediation of Vahagn Ghukasyan the director of ”The Gallery of Mariam and Eranuhi Aslamazyan Sisters” and by the support of Mariam Aslamazyan's niece Gayane Nikoghosyan. For the first time in the book has found a place Gayane Nikogksoyan’s father - the recognized sculptor Nikolay Nikoghosyan’s memories about Mariam Aslamazyan, which in a special way symbolizes the connection of two famous artist families: Aslamazyans and Nikoghosyans. The established continuous cooperation between the Museum of Russian Art and ''The Gallry of Mariam and Eranuhi Aslamazyan Sisters'' creates important cultural connection not only in the museum sphere, but also in the cultural life of Gyumri-Yerevan.
