Nikolay Nikoghosyan:Living Legend

''Nikoghayos Nikoghosyan: Living Legend'' exhibition in ''The Gallery of Mariam and Eranuhi Aslamazyan Sisters''' newly constructed ''Nikoghosyan Exhibition Hall'' On the 2nd of November will take place the exhibition of Moscow collection of selected indoor sculptures of Nikoghayos Nikoghosyan - USSR National Artist, academician of Russian Fine Art Academy, famous sculptor, painter and pedagogue. He is widely known to the public as an author of numerous indoor sculptures and a series of monuments of science, culture and historically recognized figures erected in Yerevan and Gyumri. Considering as a founder of Soviet Armenian sculpture, nearly the coeval artist of the Social revolution, he could preserve free creative self-expression.in the Soviet Union. Bronze, marble and granite sculptural portraits and busts excel with the generalized integrity of plastic solutions; they are accurate with the psychological characteristic as a reminder of stone silent history. Nokoghosyan’s sculptures, represented in the exhibition, express the transitional period’s customs, history and memories of social realism to Soviet modernism containing visible and at the same time the hidden reality with all its depth.
